DC 04-2 (K1) has a specific surface area of >900 m²/m³, providing ample attachment space for nitrifying bacteria and helping to improve ammonia-nitrogen removal efficiency in recirculating aquaculture systems.

The DC 04-2 (K1)’s 4-hole cylindrical structure provides both internal and external attachment surfaces for nitrifying bacteria, enabling more stable biofilm growth. Nitrifying bacteria gradually convert harmful ammonia nitrogen in aquaculture water, helping to maintain a suitable growth environment for fish and shrimp.

3. Stable Biofilm Formation

In RAS systems, stable biofilm is essential for continuous ammonia removal. DC 04-2 (K1) provides protected surfaces for microorganisms, reducing the risk of biomass loss caused by water flow or aeration.

4. Excellent Fluidization Performance

With a density of 0.94–0.97 g/cm³, DC 04-2 (K1) is close to the density of water. Under aeration or water circulation, the media can remain suspended and fluidized in the biofilter, allowing full contact with aquaculture water and dissolved oxygen.

DC 04-2 (K1) is small in size, measuring Φ11×7 mm, with a density exceeding 930,000 pcs/m³.
